Did I leave Florida? Dang its COLD out there!
It was 84 yesterday afternoon and 42 this morning (todays high should be around 66). I don’t think Florida has ever had a middle temperature season. It takes a bit of getting used to. The good/bad news is that the end of the cold is just around the corner, and Phil, the groundhog even agrees with me, lol.
I headed to the other side of the bridge to see what the area was like on the other side. I got to the top just as the sun was coming over the horizon.
The other side of the bridge is definitely a completely different world. It’s not as touristy and more business like. There lots of places to shop and more variety of fast food places.
There are 2 campgrounds just north of here; one is to the east, the other is to the west. But someone here saw a picture of my woodworking and asked if I could make a Flamingo for his daughter, so I’ll be hanging around a couple of days to make one.
I don’t really like taking requests to make things, it turns my stomach. I like being inspired to make things instead. But when someone requests something from me, if it is in my power to do, I will. And I think I came up with a cute design. I just need it to be warm enough that my hands aren’t freezing!
That’s all for now. I’m not doing much because of the cold weather.
Today’s tidbit: Don’t hold back when it is in your power to do something. Just do it!
