The southern end of Ft. Myers is growing quickly, but there is still lots of land available.
I was able to get a new axle bar and found a car place to help me get the “lock nuts” off. Those things may have a great purpose, but it is definitely not with my bicycle! I’m glad I got a new axle bar because the way the tires put on the axle had actually bent. I will be replacing the wheels as soon as I can because I think 20″ tires will be better than 16″. Though, I can say that those rubber tires earned a little praise.

If that had been a regular tire, it would be flat for sure. But I still think I prefer regular tires.
I decided to head up to North Ft. Myers. There was a trail that went all the way downtown. It wasn’t any spectacular, but it was fairly pleasant.
I stopped at a little park just before going over the bridge to have lunch and rest for a few minutes. It was kind of neat, they had all different kinds of palm trees, each one had a marker that gave information about the palm.
And yes, I was procrastinating going across that bridge. I had a choice of 3 bridges and decided on the middle one. I will admit that the bridge wasn’t as long as the one in Charleston, but it definitely seemed higher. I decided to time myself to see how long it would take me…. 30 minutes. I figured it would take longer.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I am shopping around for another bike because I really don’t like the one I’m using. But on the plus side, now that the nuts are regular nuts, I can paint the sides of the trailer! I just need the wind to stop blowing.
Today’s tidbit: Some people wear their pain and suffering on the inside. It may not show on the outside, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Always be kind to people because what you see on the outside, may not be a reflection of what is going on inside.
